How to fix Garbled Characters in Apple Mail
Submitted by skaura on Fri, 11/16/2007 - 23:45.Last night I installed Adobe Font Folio: I was trying to get inspired for a brochure I'm working on. After installing 300+ fonts and spending a good hour browsing through them I decided to check my email. I was definitely not amused when I got the following:

Submitted by skaura on Fri, 11/16/2007 - 15:18.As readers of this blog know, accessing Hotmail via Apple Mail using HTTPMail doesn't work. Judging by the amount of hits to this blog, many Leopard users made do with the fix I suggested (see this link for details). PDF files, pictures, etc). Today I mistakingly discovered something very useful -- instant file preview (I'm making the name up, as I don't know what it is really called). What I really like, is that you are still able to navigate the finder and have a preview available at the same time. This is especially useful if you format the screen to have the preview on one side and the finder on the other OR even better -- multiple displays...

Well, I finally got around to upgrading. Confident that if something went wrong: 1) I had everything backed up 2) I have a few extra hours to troubleshoot... just in case.
